The food is DELICIOUS. The staff is welcoming and great. And the atmosphere is fun. I love that they stay open later too.
The food on the Island we tried. The fish was seasoned very well and the rice was excellent. The chef was very accommodating with making our order perfect.
Amazing local island place, the mac and cheese is the stuff of dreams. My husband said it's the best oxtail he's ever had, and even had us get it again before we left. We almost never repeat where we eat, but it was that good. Also I love the outdoor local vibe, there's plenty of parking, and it's a great place to just chill. Wear sunscreen though. And at night wear bug spray.

We ended up paying ~ $170 for 4 people. We each got an entree and 3 sides, and my husband and I got the fresh fish catch of the day - so the most expensive thing on the menu. And drinks and stuff.
We had a wonderful meal at Heading East ! I had the sautéed shrimp and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the fresh caught fish of the day and said it was delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the best meals we have had on St John. Will definitely return on our next visit .
Very delicious food in a relaxed setting. The chicken and the goat, both excellent dishes. Painkiller is a good mix! Been here for the first but not for the last time! Thank you!
We were clearly the only new people there, all the locals know that this is the place to go for good food.
We have been to the island 6 times and this was our first time eating at Heading East. The food was great. One of the few places you can get more local fare. I had the snapper and my wife had the stewed chicken. Our kids had the pasta alfredo.
Best food on the island. Both the saltfish and stewed chicken were incredible. It also introduced me to Alvin's hot sauce which was very good on the chicken. Season rice is the way to go, and can't beat a good crusty mac and cheese, though all the other sides are fantastic.
